The Midtown School Board

A school board is a collective body responsible for governing a school district. Composed of elected or appointed members from the community, their role is akin to that of stewards overseeing various aspects of educational policy and administration. They make decisions on matters ranging from budget allocation and curriculum development to hiring key personnel such as superintendents. Acting as a vital link between the community and the school system, they listen to feedback from parents, teachers, and students to shape policies that ensure effective and equitable education for all students. Essentially, they play a crucial role in guiding the overall direction and management of the school district to foster a conducive learning environment.
